The Falcons took part in Huntress CTF during cybersecurity awareness month.
Every week the Falcons met up and worked together to find more flags, though for everyone, once a week wasn't enough with many attempting to capture a flag every day!
In addition to simply capturing flags, our members who successfully located a flag had the opportunity to present their findings during our weekly boot camps. This initiative fostered a collaborative learning environment, enabling our members to benefit from each other's experiences and insights.
And it certainly seemed to have worked! As by the end of the month we had successfully identified flags across various domains of cybersecurity, including steganography, cryptography, open-source intelligence (OSINT), reverse engineering, digital forensics, malware analysis, binary exploitation, scripting, and other diverse areas such as the Cow scripting language. At the conclusion of the competition, our team, the Falcons, achieved a commendable rank of 221st out of 3,448 teams, successfully solving 71% of the challenges and amassing a total of 3,700 points.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the Huntress CTF. The challenges presented were both engaging and rewarding for the Falcons team. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to participate in future events.
