Welcome to UWE CTF Falcons

The UWE CTF Falcons is run by students for students at the University West of England, Bristol.

We pride ourselves in offering students from all backgrounds, walks of life, experience and offering them the opportunity to learn and develop real world cyber security and technical IT skills in a fun and immersive environment. Regardless of your background UWE CTF Falcons is here to help introduce you to the world of Capture-The-Flag cyber challenges and competitions, and introduce you to basic cyber security concepts, or hone your Blue Team or Red Team skills in a fun team focused culture.

We host regular in house challenges and competitions, and our members also take part in various national and international CTF competitions against other universities throughout the world. That being said, you don't need to be an established hacker to find a place at UWE CTF Falcons. CTF's take many forms and require knowledge in many IT/Cyber related disciplines such as Digital Forensics, Cryptography, Coding, Reverse Engineering, Hacking, Web Exploitation, Network Security and much more.

Though the activities we offer are designed to augment the topics taught on UWE's BSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics and MSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics programs, any student at UWE is more than welcome to join us. For those looking to learn basic IT/Cyber Security concepts check out our Cyber Gym where we've picked out a series of online learning resources and pathways designed to introduce people new to the IT/Cyber world to concepts and technologies we use. As well as re-enforce and build upon what UWE Cyber students are learning in the lecture theatres and labs at UWE.

The CTF Falcons are firm believers in equality and actively promote and co-operate with UWE Women in Cyber Society. The industry needs more women that's for sure.

So, if you'd like to join us or you'd wish to learn more head over to our recruitment page (Join Us) and fill out the form, or if you just want some more information drop as an email to contact@ctffalcons.com and a member of our committee will get in touch.
