The UWE CTF Falcons were invited to Hack to the Future by our sister organisation CyberWomen@UWE.

At the outset of the event, Immersive Labs facilitated a crisis simulation, engaging attendees in a multiple-choice format where participants voted electronically to determine our approach to crisis management.

Following this interactive session, attendees had the opportunity to network over refreshments before engaging with a panel of experts. The panelists consisted of Amy Kwong Jenny McCullagh James Riley and Jemma who shared their experiences of entering the cybersecurity field and addressed various questions regarding the challenges of job applications. With the key takeaways being; don’t be too hard on yourself, take all opportunities take as many courses as you can be teachable, and be yourself.

The event concluded with a heartfelt presentation by Jemma, who shared her personal journey and how she found her way into the cyber domain.
